Prayer for relief

Pastor Carl H. Stevens and his wife Barbara Stevens, of Fallston, are suing Ronald and Bertha Lagueux in Baltimore City Circuit Court to recover more than $113,000 in unpaid loans. The Lagueux' borrowed approximately $229,000 starting in 2002, in order to invest the money in residential properties, the complaint alleges. The borrowers, according to the complaint, agreed to repay the principal and split the profits 50/50. However, the complaint, filed last week, alleges that after returning $50,000 in profit, but only about half of the principal amount, the Lagueux' asked for another loan of $24,000. "God will do it!!!" states the January request for money, included as an exhibit to the complaint. "We will prosper financially!!!"
